NV Valdobbiadene Extra Dry Fontana Vecia
(2010-02-09 01:17:06 UTC)2 bottles of this were given to me by my parent as a gift when they returned from Italy.
I opened on of the bottles last night - it was fantastic! Great nose, amazing taste... It was a very enjoyable experience. Didn't take detailed notes - will update with the 2nd bottle.
2006 Four Vines "Anarchy" Rhone Style Blend
(2010-02-09 01:16:06 UTC)had the chance to try this over the weekend and it showed similarity to the 2007 I tasted at BWE (the other reviews to be posted shortly).
- dark red
- combination of plum and blackberry with nice tobacco and pepper
- Very ruit forward flavor profile with more dark fruits and cherry with a definite earthy component that adds some complexity
- EtOH controlled
- Med/full body, med acidity
2006 Louis Jadot Gevrey-Chambertin
(2010-02-09 01:11:47 UTC)Dry, tight, and tannic. may need a few more years to develop. There is some dried red fruit and minerality, but more may develop in the future. Food wine.
2008 A To Z Pinot Gris
(2010-02-09 00:58:19 UTC)Tart wine with heavy fruit tastes. Reminds me of fruit loops. Slightly acidic. Has a smooth finish.
Easy to drink.
